Pregnancy should be the happiest time –

Pregnancy. – The happiest time of your life !

Sometimes however health and uncertainty can over ride the happy times.

There is so much information available.

Let me get you started.

Pregnancy Multi’s: should you take one?

A Multi Vitamin is a minimum guarantee next to a good diet of the basic supplements we need in our daily diet.

What multi should you take?

Be aware that the Multi Vitamins that have 800mcg.s of folic acid in one tablet/capsule usually do not have all the other nutrients that you need in a good multi.

Also ask for non synthetic folic acid.

Ask your health professional about the choices of different ingredients.

There are a lot of different brands on the market – and they are not all created equally.

Excercise:

Nutritionally – Baby does have a lot of needs – and will take what nutrition he/she needs

So make sure your diet/nutritional is enough for both your needs and babies.

There are amazing, tasty, and very well priced super foods on the market – add them to your breakfast and daily smoothies for high energy and nutrition. You will look and feel better for it I am sure.

Relaxation, Gentle Stretching and Breathing is always going to be good for you and baby.

Please get professional guidance if you are not sure.

Especially if you have had any problems with getting pregnant.

Essential Fatty Acids.

One of my favourites for mother and baby.

There are so many studies on essential fatty acids and babies development.

Again there are a lot of different products on the market.

I cannot stress enough how important it is that you are comfortable with the information you are given.

It is a great product for you as well.

Hair, skin, memory, heart and circulation are all areas where conclusive studies have been done on the taking of essential fatty acids.

For baby an important part of the studies is brain and nervous system development.

Ask about dosage – it would be a real shame to not take enough.

Coffee, Tea, Alcohol – what is the alternative?

I would not recommend you take any of these during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Herbal tea? Many herbs are not safe during pregnancy.

Look for the ARTEMIS brand of herbal teas – making taste, enjoyment and usage during pregnancy – EASY!

Certain therapeutic teas support digestion, pregnancy and for later milk production

WATER !

Yes please – drink this all you like J

Aromatherapy Oils –

I only recommend chamomile and lavender on the skin during pregnancy and for the infant.

And then only used as per recommended.

Aromatherapy oils are proven to go  through the whole body and therapeutic oils are very powerful.

Inquire and ensure the essential oil you are interested in is safe during pregnancy.

WELEDA Baby products has lovely safe mother & baby products. Their stretch mark product is one of my favourite recommendations. They have some aromatherapy ingredients in there too – Safe for mum and babe.

When it comes to mother and baby through to toddler and on to school.

Natural Health has so many easy, cheap with great results products.

Wonderful ways to go through pregnancy and the birth.

There are beautiful simple natural alternatives to support colic, digestive upsets, skin rashes, bath time and well being.
